We endeavor to display color as accurately as possible but, due to monitor variations, your monitor may display the yarns differently than they appear in real life. We also attempt to display the yarns in the bases listed as often as possible. However, we source most of our photographs from our vendors, and since every color is not listed in every base the color may be represented on a base different from the one you are purchasing. Please email or call us if you have ANY questions about the yarn base and color prior to purchase! Your happiness is our every desire!
The Super Easy Baby Blanket concept is simple: garter stitch in seven stripes, one skein each. But somehow the sum of those parts is something quite wonderful, a lofty, squishy, and colorful tale!
Knit with six or seven colors of Roan DK, this garter stitch blanket pattern, originally from Purl Soho (photo credit, Purl Soho), really IS super easy.
Roan is a gorgeous domestically milled merino, 60% superwash and 40% non superwash which takes the color with great depth and saturation. At 230 yards/skein your blanket will be good sized, and if you are wanting it a little shorter, leave off one color!
Kit includes Sated Sheep project bag!
If you would like 6 colors instead of 7, please email us with the color you'd like to leave off before you check out, and we will adjust your kit accordingly!
Gauge: 20 stitches to 4" in garter stitch
Cast 150 stitches on a US 5 or US 6 needle, slip the first stitch of every row knitwise (yarn in back) and knit your heart out.
When you finish with one color, attach the next at the beginning of a row and just make sure you attach all the new colors
on the same side of the work. When you change colors, knit the first stitch instead of slipping it. When you get to the last color, make
sure you have a few yards left for your bind off.
That's really all there is to it!
