Two Color Brioche with Ann Turley Dreith

 A Brioche Stitch Workshop at The Sated Sheep on May 12, 2018 

The class will be presented in two parts, and you must register separately for each part:

Part 1: Introduction to Brioche Stitch’s two different formats – Knit One Below (per Elyse Duvekot) and Slipped Method (per Nancy Marchant). 

Part 2: Continuing in both formats in two-color Brioche stitch. Towards the end of the afternoon class, those wishing to begin a Brioche project may do so. Assistance will be available. If anyone wishes help with a Stephen West pattern, please bring it with you.

Wool Yarn in light, plain color in DK or Worsted weight for morning classWool Yarn (2 different skeins) one plain light ,one plain dark (not black,

please) colors of DK or Worsted yarn for afternoon class. (Check with the

store for recommended, affordable class yarn if you have none in stash!)Needles - circular or DPN’s - to match gauge of yarn on label – and –
Needles – circular or DPN’s - 2 and 4 sizes larger (if gauge size is US 8,

also bring US 10 and US 13)
4 ring markers – 2 sets in different colors
1 removable pin marker
Other standard supplies: scissors, large-eyed needle, crochet hook, etc.

Bring to class on needles or stitch holders:
Sample 1) 6 rows of knitted Garter Stitch using an ODD number of stitches (between 15-21 stitches)

Sample 2) 6 rows of 1x1 Rib Stitch (P1, K1 – starting on the wrong side) and ending at the beginning of a wrong side row.
