About

The Sated Sheep

“Knitting, crocheting, crafting—always better together.”

Welcome to The Sated Sheep, a cozy yarn haven nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. We’re Patti and Amy—friends for over five years, partners in creativity, and now the proud owners of this special little shop. The Sated Sheep was lovingly built by our dear friend Allison, who poured ten years of care, laughter, and color into making it a vibrant space for fiber lovers near and far. When Allison decided it was time to retire, we couldn’t imagine the Hill Country without this woolly wonderland. So, with hearts full of gratitude (and hands ready to knit), we stepped in to carry the torch and continue the yarn-filled fun. Our vision is simple: to honor the legacy Allison created while adding our own spark of whimsy, friendship, and community. We believe yarn is more than fiber—it’s connection, comfort, and joy, one stitch at a time. Whether you’re stopping by for your very first skein or you’ve been part of The Sated Sheep family since the beginning, we’re thrilled to welcome you. Grab a chair, share a laugh, and let’s keep crafting magic together. With love, Patti & Amy 🧶✨

Meet the Business Owners

Patti Johnson has been part of the Dripping Springs community since 2008 and has long been a lover of all things yarn. Whether it’s a cozy skein, a bold new colorway, or a tricky stitch pattern, she delights in the textures, warmth, and endless possibilities that fiber brings. She’s passionate about sharing that joy with others and creating a space where makers of all levels feel at home. Amy Barakos joined the Dripping Springs community in 2017 and brings with her a love of creating and designing beautiful things. With an eye for detail and a heart for artistry, she thrives on transforming inspiration into tangible projects. She believes crafting is about more than the finished piece—it’s about the creativity, connection, and fun along the way. Together, Patti and Amy are thrilled to continue The Sated Sheep’s tradition of celebrating yarn, creativity, and community right here in the Texas Hill Country.
