Yarns must be returned in their original condition (not wound) from a clean, odor-free environment. Sale merchandise, patterns, books, needle/hook sets, notions, gifts, and special orders are not returnable. Needles/hooks (not in sets) in original condition and packaging may be exchanged within 5 days of purchase with the original receipt.

Help on a Project:

We are happy to answer customers’ brief questions over the counter when time permits. If you need extensive help (more than 5-10 minutes) or you bought your yarn elsewhere, please sign up for one of our Drop-In Clinics, or make an appointment for a private lesson. You can purchase a Drop-In punch card for $40 (4 Drop In’s) and Private lessons are $30/hour. Please see the Classes page for more information!

Special Orders:

We love special orders! We do require pre-payment on all special orders, and any additional shipping/handling fee may apply depending on the yarn company and how quickly you’d like to receive your special order item. We apologize, but we cannot discount special orders. SPECIAL ORDERS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.

Shipping:

We do our best to mail out all orders within 2 business days of placement. If we expect delays past this point for any reason, we will contact you with additional information.

Most orders are shipped by the carrier of your choice at checkout.  UPS does not deliver to post office boxes, and first class mail from USPS is not insured.  Please be aware with express shipping that orders placed after 10:30 am CST may not go out until the following day. If you need it fast, please call us at 512-829-4607 to confirm that we have your items and will be able to get them packed and to the post office the same day.

You will receive an email with tracking information once your order is packaged. This will be updated one the package leaves our store. Please be aware that tracking is generated before the order leaves us – if you receive a shipping notice on a Saturday or Sunday, for example, it may not reach the post office until our Monday pick-up.

Winding:

If you would like us to wind your yarn, just ask. We are pleased to offer complimentary winding services for most yarns purchased in our shop. Please remember that once we wind a skein for you, it isn’t returnable. If you aren’t sure if you’ll need all those skeins for your project, wind only one or two and bring the others in to be wound as needed. We only ask that you keep the original label on the unwound skein so we know it was purchased at The Sated Sheep. Special events or sales mean that we may be too busy to wind your yarn at that particular time. Should this happen, you can always leave your yarn with us to be wound, and pick it up at another time. Or as stated above, just keep the original labels on the skeins and bring them in anytime to be wound.

Class Policies:

Payment for classes is due in full at the time of registration. Registration can be done by email, phone, or in-person at the shop.

Class fees are non-refundable unless cancellation is made prior to 72 hours before the start of class.

Material fees are not included in the class/workshop fee unless specifically noted in the class outline. We require that you use Sated Sheep yarns in our classes and workshops, and Knit or Crochet-A-Longs. While we may bend this rule some in specific circumstances, it really is essential for beginning classes in knit or crochet.

If you cannot make it to all the sessions of any given class, please understand that the instructor cannot make it up for you.

We reserve the right to cancel a class or workshop if too few students are enrolled. A full refund will be made or can be applied to any other class at The Sated Sheep. We require a minimum of two students for classes. Our maximum enrollment is 8 for children and 10 for adults.

We ask our students to make sure they are OK with the prerequisites for the class or workshop they have signed up for. If you have any questions, please call or email us.

Please remember Class Etiquette. Please turn cell phones off or on vibrate during class sessions. We ask that only those registered for class attend. Please arrive for class 10 minutes early with all tools and supplies needed and your yarn wound.

All personal information collected during class registration is kept private.

Interested in a “custom” class? A private or a duo lesson? Call or email us and we will be happy to set it up! All classes are held at The Sated Sheep, 100 Commons Road, Suite 5, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 unless otherwise specified.

Special Guest/Out of town Teacher Policy:

If you sign up for a special class taught by a guest from out of town or out of state and cannot attend, we are happy to refund 50% of the class cost up to 10 days in advance of the class. Unfortunately, we cannot issue any refunds after that, as we have paid the teacher’s flights and lodging in advance.
