Felted Tweed

Felted Tweed DK is a wonderful, tweedy yarn with a felted look. It is a beautiful blend of merino wool, alpaca and viscose rayon. The rustic colour palette makes this yarn perfect for Fair Isle stranded colour work, striping and other colour work.

It is a little bit rustic and a little refined. On the finer side of dk-weight, Felted Tweed blends merino wool for softness and spring, with alpaca and viscose for drape, luster and subtle stitch definition. Plus it blocks beautifully and seams like a dream.

Merino Wool: 50%, Alpaca: 25%, Viscose: 25%

Yarn Ball Weight: 50g

Yarn Meterage/Yardage: 175/191

Needles:  US 5-6

Tension/Gauge Stitches: 22-24

Tension/Gauge Rows: 30-32

Machine wash warm (40 degrees C) wool cycle with minimum machine action (some recommend the delicate setting).

Dry flat out of direct heat and sunlight.

Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.

This is a lightly pre-felted yarn that knits to a lightweight fabric with a felted effect. Please follow care instructions, as the yarn may felt further if washed incorrectly.
